VENUE GUIDE
GETTING
THERE
Circuit Zandvoort, Zandvoort
Zandvoort Circuit sits just 500 metres from the beach and 400 metres from the train station — making it one of the most accessible circuits on the F1 calendar. During Dutch Grand Prix weekend, NS Dutch Railways floods the line with extra services, meaning you can step off a train and be through the gates in under 10 minutes. Cars are actively discouraged on race day, so ditch the hire car and ride the rails like every local does.

HOW TO GET THERE
Train (Intercity / Sprinter)
Highly RecommendedThe direct Sprinter service from Amsterdam Centraal to Zandvoort aan Zee runs every 15 minutes and takes 31 minutes door-to-door. During race weekend, NS runs double-capacity trains from 06:00 and adds post-race night services until midnight — buy your OV-chipkaart or a day ticket (€10–€12 return) before arriving to avoid queues. Zandvoort aan Zee station is a flat, 8-minute walk straight to the circuit's main entrance on Burgemeester van Alphenstraat.
Shuttle Bus
Best from Haarlem & Park-and-RideOfficial Grand Prix shuttle buses depart every 10 minutes from Haarlem Centraal station (15-minute ride) and from three designated Park-and-Ride lots — Haarlem Noord, Santpoort-Noord, and IJmuiden — making this the smart option if you're driving from outside Amsterdam. Shuttles run from 3 hours before the first session and continue for 90 minutes after the chequered flag. Pre-book your shuttle ticket through the Dutch GP official site to guarantee a seat on the last buses post-race.
Cycling
Local Hero MoveThe Netherlands was built for this: a dedicated 30 km cycle path connects Amsterdam to Zandvoort through the dunes of the Kennemerduinen National Park, and the Dutch GP provides 6,000 free secure bike-parking spaces directly at the circuit. From Haarlem, it's a 12 km ride along the N200 cycle lane — 35 minutes at an easy pace. Rent a bike through Swapfiets or MacBike in Amsterdam from €15/day and arrive fresh, beating every traffic queue on the grid.
Car
Avoid on Race DayCircuit Zandvoort has zero on-site parking, and the N201 and A9 motorways are officially closed to through-traffic within a 5 km radius during qualifying and the race. If you must drive, book a Park-and-Ride spot in advance through the Dutch GP website — spots sell out weeks ahead and cost €25 per day. Factor in a 45-minute shuttle connection on top of your drive time, and the train from Amsterdam will get you there faster 9 times out of 10.
From Amsterdam Schiphol Airport
Arriving Race WeekendSchiphol Airport is 22 km from the circuit and has direct Sprinter trains to Zandvoort aan Zee requiring just one change at Haarlem Centraal — total journey time is 45 minutes and costs around €8 on a single OV-chipkaart fare. During race weekend, trains run from 05:30 to catch early morning support sessions. Taxis from Schiphol to Zandvoort cost €55–€70 and take 25 minutes outside peak hours, but budget 60+ minutes on race morning.
