VENUE GUIDE
GETTING
THERE
Silverstone Circuit, Silverstone
Silverstone Circuit sits in the Northamptonshire countryside, roughly 70 miles northwest of London β beautiful location, zero public transport to the gate. Plan your journey before race week: the roads surrounding the circuit become one of the UK's most notorious traffic bottlenecks, and fans who nail their transport strategy arrive relaxed while others queue for hours.

HOW TO GET THERE
Train + Official Shuttle Bus
Recommended / No TrafficTravel by train to Milton Keynes Central, Northampton, or Banbury stations. Official Silverstone shuttle buses run continuously from these stations to the circuit. Milton Keynes Central is the most frequent hub β with direct trains from London Euston taking just 35-50 minutes. Book your shuttle ticket in advance via the Silverstone website.
Car (Drive & Park)
Groups / Pre-paid onlySilverstone is situated on the A43 between the M1 and M40. All on-site parking MUST be pre-booked; there is NO pay-on-the-day parking. Traffic on Sunday is heavy β allow at least 2-3 hours for the final 10 miles. Park & Ride options from Sixfields (Northampton) and Turweston are also available and often faster for post-race exit.
National Express & Direct Coach
Stress-Free / Cost-EffectiveNational Express operates direct coach services from over 50 UK locations (including London Victoria, Birmingham, and Oxford) dropping you at the circuit gates. This is the single best way to avoid all parking and navigation stress. Coaches depart early and return approximately 60-90 minutes after the chequered flag.
Helicopter
Premium / Ultimate SpeedSilverstone Heliport is one of the world's busiest during Grand Prix weekend. Private charters operate from London Heliport (Battersea) and other regional hubs, landing you inside the circuit in around 20-30 minutes. This is the only way to completely bypass the road congestion on Sunday morning.
Cycle & Walk-In
Locals / Green TravelSilverstone offers a dedicated bicycle parking area (bring your own lock) near the main entrance. For fans staying in Silverstone village or nearby campsites (like Dadford or Whittlebury), walking is the fastest way in and out. The signposted walking routes are well-lit and avoid all vehicle traffic bottlenecks.
