About this experience
Enjoy a laid-back bike tour showcasing Barcelona’s architecture, history, and street culture. Explore beaches, backstreets, iconic buildings, Roman ruins, and romantic hideaways.
Your tour begins beside the fountain in Plaça Reial, one of Barcelona’s most and elegant squares, where your guide will be waiting to welcome you and introduce you to the city. After a short briefing, you’ll set off through the backstreets of the Gothic Quarter. As you ride, you’ll pass medieval buildings, hidden squares, and centuries-old façades before arriving at Plaça del Rei, once the political heart of medieval Barcelona. From there, we continue past the Barcelona Cathedral, a great example of Catalan Gothic architecture, and make our way toward the Palau de la Música Catalana. Renowned for its ornate façade, intricate mosaics, and stunning stained-glass details, it's a highlight for architecture lovers. Leaving the old city, you’ll cycle toward the Ciutadella Park, stopping along the way at the Arc de Triomf, an iconic monument that once served as the grand entrance to the 1888 World Fair. In the park, enjoy a relaxed stroll through its gardens, fountains, and open spaces, and take a moment to refresh with a drink and soak up the local atmosphere. Back on your bike, the tour continues to La Sagrada Família. As Europe’s second most visited monument, Gaudí’s unfinished Basilica never fails to impress. You’ll have time to take photos, admire the details, and learn about the vision behind what is considered Gaudí’s ultimate masterpiece. Next, we head down toward the coastline to experience Barcelona’s connection to the Mediterranean Sea. Feel the sea breeze as you ride along the waterfront and enjoy a change of pace from the historic center. To finish the tour, we cycle back through the neighborhood of El Born, known for its artistic spirit and charming streets. Your final stop will be the Basilica of Santa Maria del Mar, another great example of Catalan Gothic architecture and a symbol of the city’s maritime history. From there, you’ll return to Plaça Reial, completing a well-rounded journey through Barcelona’s history, architecture, and seaside charm.

“I love that it’s a new experience for me, going around Barcelona in a bike. It’s a bit difficult though because the bike is tall and I had to tiptoe to keep the balance when we stopped. I fell once, my bad. Part of the experience. It’s a nice adventure overall.”
