VENUE GUIDE
GETTING
THERE
Baku City Circuit, Baku
The Baku City Circuit is a street track uniquely integrated into the heart of Azerbaijan's capital, placing fans within walking distance of many major hotels and landmarks. However, extensive road closures throughout the city center mean that public transport and pedestrian tunnels are the only reliable ways to navigate the circuit perimeter during race week.

HOW TO GET THERE
Metro
Highly RecommendedThe Baku Metro is the fastest way to bypass road closures; use the 'Icherisheher' station for the Old City, 'Sahil' for the F1 Fan Zone, and '28 May' for the northern grandstands. During race weekend, service is typically extended until 2:00 AM to accommodate fans returning from late-night concerts. All trips require a BakiKART, which can be purchased at any station for a very low flat fare.
Ride-Hailing
Door-to-Door ConvenienceBolt and Uber Azerbaijan are the most reliable apps for getting around the outer city limits. Note that you must download the local 'Uber AZ' app specifically, as the global version does not operate in Baku. Be prepared for significant traffic diversions and set your pickup points away from the immediate circuit concrete barriers to avoid cancellations.
Walking & Tunnels
Short TransfersBaku is highly walkable, but the 6km circuit acts as a barrier that can only be crossed via designated underpasses and footbridges. Keep your race ticket easily accessible, as several key underground pedestrian tunnels are restricted to ticket holders during session times. Wear comfortable shoes, as navigating around the perimeter can easily add up to 15,000 steps per day.
Aero Express
Airport to CityThe Aero Express bus provides a 24/7 link between Heydar Aliyev International Airport (GYD) and the 28 May Metro hub in the city center. It is a cost-effective alternative to taxis, with departures every 30 minutes during the day and hourly at night. You can purchase the necessary BakiKART at the kiosks located directly outside the airport arrivals terminal.
