Discover the stunning Candy Cane Mountains, Guba city, explore Khinalug village, enjoy a homemade lunch, and marvel at breathtaking mountain landscapes throughout the tour.
The tour starts early in the morning at 8:00 AM, when we leave Baku and head north toward the mountains. This is a full-day trip, with around 8 hours spent on the road round trip, but the journey itself is an important part of the experience. Our first stop is at the Candy Cane Mountains, known for their natural striped colors and unusual landscapes — a perfect place for photos. Continuing the drive, we pass by Mount Beshbarmag (drive-by only, no stop), which you will see from the road. Next, we visit Red Settlement (Quba) — a historic Jewish village with its own unique culture and history. After a short stop, we continue deeper into the mountainous region. In the area of Gechresh forest, the route becomes more adventurous. During the winter season, we switch to off-road vehicles, which are already included in the tour price. From here, the road turns into winding mountain serpentines with impressive views along the way. On the drive to Khinalig, we make several stops at scenic viewpoints so you can take photos and enjoy the dramatic mountain landscapes. Khinalig is one of the highest permanently inhabited villages in Azerbaijan. Life here moves at a different pace, surrounded by mountains, fresh air, and wide open views. After arriving, you will have free time to walk around the village, explore the surroundings, and experience the local atmosphere. Optionally, you can enjoy a home-cooked lunch with a local family (optional). This traditional meal may include: freshly baked homemade bread local homemade cheese jam and compote 2–3 traditional dishes traditional tea served from a samovar After free time and lunch, we begin our return journey to Baku, arriving back in the evening.

Please note that if your hotel or accommodation is located within the Old City (Icherisheher) or on Nizami Street (Targovaya), we kindly ask you to walk to the nearest designated pick-up point, as minibuses are not allowed to enter these areas. Please note that the group tour starts at 8:00 AM. On weekdays, we pick up guests between 7:00 and 8:00 AM in order to avoid heavy traffic on the roads. The exact starting time of the tour will be provided by our guide one day before the tour.
