Escape the city and head to the countryside to visit the famous Salt Lick BBQ. Enjoy amazing BBQ, then wind through the hills, stopping at 2 award-winning wineries to taste delicious local wines.
Meet your guide in downtown Austin at the visitor center, then board your shuttle bus for the day and head out into the sprawling Texan countryside. The first stop of the day is Austin’s most famous BBQ joint, Salt Lick BBQ. At the BBQ, enjoy a tasting session of some of the very best meat and food that Texas has to offer, and soak up this friendly atmosphere. The tour does not include the cost of the tasting. It's recommended to budget $35 per person for your meal, however, you can bring your own alcohol to enjoy with your food. NOTE: This is an early lunch so come hungry! After the BBQ, you'll wind through the hills and stop at two different wineries so that you can sample delicious Texas wines - all while taking in those gorgeous hill country views.

Getting there
We will meet up inside the Austin Visitor Center, 103 E. Fifth St., Austin, TX 78701, USA. There is no customer parking directly in front of the new Visitor Center. However, metered street parking is available on 5th Street, alongside the Mexic-Arte Museum and across the street (north side of 5th Street).
