Getting there

Tram 58 "West Coburg to Toorak" runs from William Street in the city center every day, stopping directly outside Melbourne Zoo. Trains run from Flinders Street Station on the Upfield line every day, stopping at Melbourne Zoo’s own Royal Park Station. Bus route 505 from Moonee Ponds to Melbourne University stops outside Melbourne Zoo.

Was very hot day - hard for single parents with little kids to negotiate toilets etc , lots of animals not around but it’s a beautiful location and well worth the visit
