Getting there
Go to Al Bandar Marina. By car: After crossing the bridge to Al Bandar Marina, you'll spot an automatic parking ticket dispenser. Grab your ticket (AED 5 per hour) and follow the signs for underground parking to your right. Park in the designated visitor spots, then head towards the exits leading to the outside plaza area. Eine private Speedboottour nur für uns – von der ersten Begrüßung bis zum letzten Anlegemanöver ein kleines Abenteuer mit ordentlich Nervenkitzel. Die Einweisung war sprachlich eher knapp und wir durften zum Start im Hafen schon einmal vorfahren! Bei manchen Wendemanövern unseres Guides hatte man kurz das Gefühl, die Bootskaution sollte heute noch die Kasse füllen. Die Mangrovenlandschaft mit Flamingos war ein faszinierendes Naturkino, welches wir hier so nicht erwartet haben. Gerade bei der Vielfalt der Vogelwelt hätten wir uns etwas mehr langsame Passagen gewünscht, um alles in Ruhe genießen zu können.
