Simon was an amazing guide. He knew all of the best places and history along the way. He tailored the trip to the four of us on the tour and we had a great time. It was a great introduction to Melbourne.
Erfahrener Guide, gute Auswahl an Locations und Essen, gute Variation
We loved the tour. Simon was great. He contacted me to find out more about the group we were bringing, and planned the tour from this. Everyone really enjoyed each of our stops, the different architecture of each location, their history and what made them good options for us to visit, as well as what we had to eat & drink. Our group ranged in age from 19 to 60, and Simon was very good at keeping us on schedule so we didn’t miss out on anything.
Our guide Simon was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about food (restaurants, food preparation and pairings, Melbourne cuisine). Unfortunately, our tour was on a Monday night and also during a week when many restaurants were closed after the holidays so that impacted our experience. Simon was able to adapt and identified some good choices. Our favorite was the Butchers Diner. We also found the specialty market that we visited quite amazing, and wished we could have sampled a few of their products. We were disappointed that this tour was described as “Progressive Dinner and Drink”, yet there was no drink included. It would have been nice to have enjoyed a glass of wine or beer.
Simon was an informative person knew a lot about history and food. Since, we went on Christmas eve where places were shutting down but he still took us to amazing places to have food from different culture, would highly reccomend it.
Simon was incredibly knowledgeable and there was a nice variety to the restaurant selections. Simon knew many of the chefs so was able to provide lots of interesting background. This is a great introduction to the Melbourne food scene!
A wonderful food tour where we go to try many many many different cuisines and it was tailored to what the group was looking for which was pretty unique! My husband and I had a wonderful time and it would be a great tour for couples or solo travelers!
Incredible tour with Simon. So knowledgeable about the Melbourne food scene. We were fortunate to be just 3 people so our tour was very personalized.
Simon was amazing. He was very knowledgeable about the Melbourne food scene and clearly loves what he does. This was the best food tour I've ever been on. The quality of food was excellent and there was more than enough for dinner. I was so full when we left.
knowledge of guide, places we were shown all very good.
Simon really introduced us to Melbourne and how we could make some good food choices that we would ordinarily have walked right past. He was enthusiastic, open and responsive. Took us to a variety of different places and we sampled many different foods. His knowledge of Melbourne and its history and his love of food, fun and people really stood out.
Hugo(the guide) was superb. Very engaging and genuine with a great knowledge of Melbourne’s food and bar scene. The food was amazing with some amazing places that you would never find that were so good. Highly recommend the Guided night time food walking tour for everyone that goes to Melbourne. Thank you Hugo !!👏👍
A fabulous way to experience the culinary delights of Melbourne. Hugo was an excellent guide
Being the low season, I turned out to be the only one to book for the tour, but no matter, it went ahead anyway, although we agreed to bring it forward a couple of hours to see some of the city in daylight. The tour covered not only the sights and a few excellent bars, but quite a lot of the history of Melbourne as well. Alex was knowledgeable and interesting to talk to. Glad I opted for this way to get a quick introduction to Melbourne and to get my bearings, as I'm only in town for 2 days.
